DVSA VOL Nottingham – More AWS Cost Savings
It’s been a year in the making, but the DVSA VOL system has now gone live with a replacement authentication system. Binary Cloud Consulting helped the DVSA replace it’s old and expensive user authentication component, OpenAM, with AWS Cognito. Not only is this more secure but it greatly reduces complexity and server instances. In production alone, decomissioning the server instances running OpenAM will save approximately $16k per year, on top of the OpenAM license cost saving. It was a fantastic effort by the whole team involved.
